Our Director Paul Gabriel, has had over 15 years' experience in the cleaning of peripherals and technical environments (Data Centres) working with a specialist cleaning company, he established TEC in 1994.
He had the pleasure of working with very experienced and knowledgeable specialist cleaners, and he learned first hand the do's and don'ts in peripheral cleaning.
The company he worked for, was most successful, securing contracts with many well known companies, because of it's success it was bought out by a multi-national company that wished to gain a foothold in this specialist market.
As he was freelance, he was able to 'escape' the acquisition, my colleagues were introduced to the new owners directives, but the new company thought they could change the tried and tested methods, they cut costs and became 'slapdash' in their approach to the business.
The original team became unhappy with their new directives, cutting corners was not in their nature, the service levels fell, and motivation swiftly followed, the old team became disheartened and soon all left the company.
This is when Paul saw a niche in the market and established TEC in 1994.
It was not easy, as any new businessman will tell you, but gradually we have grown and now have a strong data base of customers, many blue chip companies: Apple Computers, HSBC Bank, BOC Gases, Legal and General, The Law Society to name a few, please see our Customer references for more.
Paul was able to call upon the old team members to help when the larger contracts were won, now over ten years on we still use several of the original team, and although Paul has trained many people since then, there are few that can match their skill.
We count ourself very fortunate that we can call upon their experience and skill, as technology constantly changes, specifications are rarely the same for any two clients, often the team will discuss the best ways in which to tackle complicated projects prior to starting.
New recruits to the team receive comprehensive training, either from Paul , or one of our many experienced team members. The experienced team member will 'shadow' the apprentice during their induction, relaying information constantly.
All new recruits are trained in peripheral cleaning and Data Centre cleaning, which includes general cleaning skills such as: floor stripping, buffing, carpet cleaning and high-level power vacuuming.
All this is backed up with on site supervisors, an area manager regularly visiting all our sites, and administration staff dealing with inquiries and new business calls.
As a result the list of TEC client's steadily grows, but our aim is not to grow so fast that we loose sight of what our client's expect from the team and Paul , as ... 'you are only as good as your last project!
Paul still goes out with the team, always on site at the start of a new contract, that way he can see exactly what the client requires, and ensure the TEC standard is maintained.
As of 1st December 2002 TEC became a Limited Company.
Now we intend to promote TEC's specialist cleaning services, be it telephone cleaning for Call Centres, PC cleaning for offices, Data Centres, Communication Rooms or UPS Rooms, the Team at TEC can handle it all.
